Our Process

At Stone’s, every puppy is placed with intention. Above all else, our puppies are sold as companions first—because their well-being and lifelong homes will always come before anything else.

Evaluation & Selection
Puppies are carefully evaluated as they grow to determine structure, temperament, and overall potential. For this reason, no specific puppy will be reserved prior to 8 weeks of age, unless neither the breeder nor the stud owner plans to retain a puppy from the litter.

Show homes are given priority in placement. To ensure the best possible match, we encourage families to have at least two different puppies they would consider prior to submitting a deposit.

Pet Homes
All puppies placed in pet homes are sold strictly as companions and do not come with breeding rights.

Show Homes
Select puppies may be considered for show homes. Breeding rights are not guaranteed and are only discussed and agreed upon privately on a case-by-case basis.

 

Contracts
All puppies are sold on a written contract, regardless of placement.

​

Health & Raising
Before leaving, every puppy will:

• Be Embark DNA tested

• DNA profiled

• Have their first round of vaccinations

• Be raised using the Puppy Culture program

 

Pricing
$1,000 – $2,000 depending on the individual puppy and placement.

Waitlist & Deposit Process

We maintain a limited, carefully managed waitlist for each litter to ensure every placement is both intentional and well-suited.

Joining the Waitlist
Prospective homes are encouraged to reach out early to discuss goals, preferences, and overall fit. Placement is not determined by inquiry order alone, but by what is best for each individual puppy. To join our waitlist there is a $100 fee that will go towards your deposit.

 

Deposits
Deposits are accepted once puppies have matured enough for preliminary evaluation. A deposit secures your position in the selection process—not a specific puppy. Deposits are $500 and refundable if we should not provide you with a puppy or you can move to a future litter.

Selection Process
Final selections take place around 8 weeks of age, following full evaluation of each puppy.

• Show homes are given priority in placement

• Puppies are matched based on structure, temperament, and overall compatibility

• Buyers should be prepared to consider multiple puppies, as final matches are made with the puppy’s best interest in mind

 

Final Placement
We reserve the right to make final placement decisions to ensure each puppy is placed in the environment where they will thrive.
